FAQ - PAAPI Access Changes Notification

I’m seeing on AC that my PA API access is going to removed.

Effective 23-Jan-2019, in order to retain access to PA API you must have referred qualified sales in the last 30 days. If you are unable to meet PA API requirements, when your Site attempts to call PA API you may receive an error message. PA API access can only be reinstated by referring qualified sales to Amazon.

I’m seeing on AC that my PA API request limit is going to be reduced.

Effective 23-Jan-2019, your PA API request limit may be reduced if you are not able to refer the required number of sales as defined in the Efficiency Guidelines. PA API request limits can only be increased by referring additional qualified sales to Amazon.

Why is the AC notification still up if I’ve driven qualified sales in the last 30 days?

If you have referred qualified sales since having seen the notification displayed in Associates Central, you may disregard the notification as your PA API access will be automatically restored on 23-Jan-2019. The notification will also expire at this time.

How will a change in my access to PA API affect my Site?

If you are unable to meet PA API requirements, when your Site or Application attempts to call PA API you may receive an error message. PA API request limits can only be increased by referring additional qualified sales to Amazon.

If I lose access to PA API, how can I link to Amazon?

If you have lost PA API access due to having not referred qualified sales in the last 30 days, you will still be able to use our other product linking tools to link to Amazon, such as Site Stripe. Your PA API access will be automatically restored once you drive referring sales to Amazon.
